Covers the mobile game How Many Points and the website crookedhorrorgames.com
Effective date: November 10, 2026

This policy explains what information Crooked Horror LLC ("we", "us") collects through the game How Many Points (the "Game") and this website, why we collect it, who receives it, how long it is kept and the choices you have. We have tried to describe exactly what the Game does, in plain language.

The short version. The Game does not ask for your name or email address. It creates a random Player ID so your coins, cars and progress are saved on our game servers (run by Unity). If you are 13 or older and agree, the Game also sends gameplay statistics so we can improve it. Crash reports are sent so we can fix bugs. The Game shows ads, so our ad partners receive your device's advertising ID and similar data. Under-16s never get personalized ads. You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account.

1. Who we are

How Many Points is published by Crooked Horror LLC, which does business as Crooked Horror Games. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here.

Mailing address: 2108 N St Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA
Email: info@crookedhorrorgames.com

2. Age and children

The Game is rated for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children under 13. The first time you open the Game, it asks for your year of birth. Your answer is stored only on your device. It is never sent to our servers. The Game uses it to decide what may be collected:

Because the Game only asks for a birth year, it assumes the youngest age that year could mean. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

3. What the Game collects

The Game is free to play and stores your progress online. It uses Unity Gaming Services, which Unity Technologies runs for us.

Information the Game collects
InformationWhyWhere it goes
Player ID: a random identifier created the first time you play, plus the sign-in token that keeps you signed in. You don't need a name, email or password. To tie your saved game to you Unity Gaming Services (Authentication)
Game save: coin, gem and revive balances; cars owned; purchases and benefits you own (for example No Ads); mission, daily-reward, season pass and career progress; totals of your play (for example pedestrians hit, distance, best top speed); limits on rewarded ads watched; inbox messages; and your device's time-zone offset (used so daily rewards reset at your local midnight) To run the Game, keep your progress and stop rewards being claimed twice Unity Gaming Services (Cloud Save, Cloud Code)
Run history: for each run, when it ended, how long it lasted, score, distance, stage, coins collected, revives used and whether you quit To check that runs are genuine (anti-cheat), to count toward missions and to balance the Game Unity Gaming Services. Each record is kept for at most 30 days, and at most 250 runs are kept.
Leaderboard entry: your display name and scores. The display name is either a randomly generated name or one you choose, from 3 to 20 characters. To show weekly and all-time rankings Unity Gaming Services (Leaderboards). Other players can see your display name and score. Don't use your real name.
Purchase information: when you buy something, the store's purchase receipt (product, order and transaction details). We keep the product, the fact that you bought it and a scrambled ("hashed") copy of the transaction ID. To confirm the purchase is real, deliver it exactly once, restore it and prevent fraud Unity Gaming Services. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.
Gameplay statistics (analytics): only if you are 13 or over and agreed. These are events such as runs started and ended (with score, distance and similar numbers), upgrades offered and picked, revives, ads watched, purchases attempted, menu pages opened and tutorial steps. Unity also records device information (such as model, operating system, language and app version) and an approximate country derived from your IP address. To understand how the Game is played and improve it Unity Gaming Services (Analytics)
Crash and error reports: what went wrong, plus device model, operating system, app version and similar technical details To find and fix crashes Unity (built-in engine diagnostics)
Game settings download: when the Game starts, it asks our servers for the current game settings, such as which features and events are switched on. The request includes your Player ID, platform and app version, and your IP address is visible to the server. To switch features and events on or off without an update Unity Gaming Services (Remote Config)
Advertising data: your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and which ads were shown or watched To show ads (including rewarded ads you choose to watch), limit how often they appear, measure them and prevent ad fraud. See Advertising. Our ad partners: Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads
Support messages: if you email us, your email address and what you write. The Game's Contact support button pre-fills your Player ID, app version, device model and operating system, and you can delete them before sending. To answer you Our email provider, Northwest Registered Agent (NWRA)

Everything sent between the Game and these services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

4. What stays on your device

Some information is stored only on your phone and is never sent to us. This includes your year of birth, your analytics choice, your settings (sound, vibration, controls, colours, graphics), the car you have equipped, a copy of your save for playing offline, and results waiting to be sent when you're back online.

If you turn on Reminders, the Game schedules notifications on your device itself (for example "your daily reward is ready"). They are not sent from a server, and no notification token is collected. You can turn them off in Settings > Gameplay > Reminders or in your phone's settings.

5. What we don't collect

The Game does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, or any health or financial account information. It has no chat and no user-uploaded content except your optional display name.

The Game does not currently let you link a Google, Apple or other account. Your progress is tied to the sign-in stored on your device. If you uninstall the Game or clear its data, you may lose access to your progress. Settings > Account > Restore purchases can bring back cars and benefits you bought with real money, but not coins or gems.

6. Advertising

The Game shows ads through Unity LevelPlay (Unity's ad mediation service, formerly ironSource) and Unity Ads. These are:

To serve ads, our ad partners collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions. They use this under their own privacy policies, and may use it to personalize ads and to measure and prevent fraud. In the Game:

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, at any time in your Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on the device).
